About Miki Kong

I've spent more than 20 years working across APAC, Europe and the Middle East, moving through sales, marketing, executive support, business operations, events and regional strategy. 

But my career hasn’t always followed a straight line.

I’ve experienced three redundancies in my career, and as a sole breadwinner for my family, those moments were challenging. They also pushed me to be brave — to step outside my comfort zone, take on different roles, learn quickly and keep moving forward.

Each experience taught me something different.

• How to adapt when things don't go according to plan.

• How to make things work when resources are limited.

• How to work with different personalities, cultures and leadership styles.

• And how to stay focused on what really matters when everything feels urgent.

That has shaped the way I work today.

I’m naturally curious about how businesses work, what makes teams tick and, most importantly, what is getting in the way of progress.

I enjoy sitting at the intersection of people, strategy and execution.

Understanding what a leader is really trying to achieve.
Connecting the right people.
Bringing structure to chaos.
Asking the questions others might not.
And turning good ideas into action.

I’ve spent much of my career working in fast-moving environments where priorities change, resources are limited and there is always something that needs fixing.

That’s where I thrive.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I bring curiosity, commercial thinking, resilience and a bias for action — and I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get into the detail when it matters.

Today, I bring that experience to founders and senior leaders as a Fractional Chief of Staff, helping them create clarity, build momentum and get the important things done.

Beyond Business

I’m a proud mum, passionate advocate for mentoring, and a believer that success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by the opportunities we create for others. 

I enjoy connecting people, contributing to communities, learning from different perspectives, and helping leaders turn their vision into meaningful action and business impact. 

And when I'm not working? You'll probably find me playing mahjong.

Because sometimes the best strategy is knowing when to take a risk, when to play your hand, and when to wait for the right moment.
